Lets talk about North Korea

The past couple weeks we have listen to North Korea voicing nuclear threats on the United States. In response, It has been reported that the United States have sent fighter jets to South Korea, in hopes that North Korea will back off.

In addition to the concerns that North Korea's military actions are causing and the deal they are intertwined in with China and Pakistan, the international community needs to be more aware of there human rights violations and economic position, results of three generations of dictator leaders. With little hope of reform in this sad country, we see North Korea's people closed off to modern foreign influences. The leaders force feed the information through government-run media, means that the people of North Korea have no access to modern technology such as internet.

North Korea food shortage did not end in the 1990's, like most believe, the famine still continues. Out of starvation, North Korea still struggles with cannibalism, as a mean of survival. We are talking widespread hunger among the people of North Korea. We are dealing with a country whose children are born into a world, where hunger and fear will be all they know. Despite that fact that we are aware of prison camps for those who break laws, North Koreans are forced to attend organizational government-instituted propaganda, their lives being coordinated from cradle to grave.

North Korea is a modern day horror story, something people would pay $8.50 on a Friday night to get a good scare. Let world history not repeat itself. North Korea is not just a international threat, but a ticking time bomb that if self destructs, without help, we see little hope of  a peaceful ending for the people of North Korea. But wait a minute-we aren't finish. China has ties with North Korea along with ties to Pakistan. Each country trying to advance with nuclear technology. The United States should see this a bit concerning, considering the debt we have with China, and the war we have been fighting in the middle east. Let us not forget that Pakistan played a key role with our war on Al Qaeda, being home to CIA and U.S military drone bases.

This week China confirmed it will be selling new 1000 megawatts nuclear reactors to Pakistan. Lets start with some back ground information, China has a membership of the NSG-Nuclear Supplies Group, which sets up guidelines for nuclear exports and nuclear related exports, its for countries which seek to contribute to the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons. With China urging Pakistan to keep the deal secret to avoid disapproval internationally, we see how there is possibility for guidelines to be violated. China and Pakistan do have some history of working together on joint projects with civilian use of nuclear energy, with guarantee to be monitor by the international nuclear organization.

China is going to be able to achieve its nuclear goals. With America owing over one trillion in debt, our safety and economy seems to be leaning towards China's control. Neither China or Pakistan have been called out on their action with fear of what either countries may do. We should see a concern, if the reactor deal is permitted, it increases the danger of nuclear weapons proliferating. U.S officials say that China joining the NSG prohibits the new reactors and prohibits to sell reactor to those who do not have international safeguards such as Pakistan.

On March 6, Republicans and Democrats watched as Senator Rand Paul filibuster 13 hours in Congress against the use of drones killing Americans on American soil who are being charged with a crime, without first being found guilty by court. Rand Paul in a speech at CPAC 2013, said that his filibuster was not just a speech about the use of drones but also was about constitution rights. So what is all the buzz with these drones, are they really that big of a deal?

Unknown to most Americans is the mass amount of domestic drones being introduced, as well as the mass amount of drones licences, but there are inadequate regulation on their use in the United States. The FAA modernization and reform act of 2012, says that drones will become more prevalent in the next two years. As of February FAA announce there may be as many as 30,000 drones in less then 20 years, which will be operate by both public, private and commercial. American airspace is already started, as of 2007 the FAA granted 1428 drone licences to police, university and state transportation.

Although drones have played a part in the war in the middle east, one can imagine the problems that drones could enhance the governments ability to monitor citizens in public places and on their own property. Our privacy law has not been able to  keep up to pace with our advance technology. Drones have become popularized worldwide as a result of the drone strikes that Obama administrations produced in tribal areas of  the middle east, one particular in Pakistan. These strike have been condemned internationally partly because the definition of "combatant"  which has been expanded to include any military age male in the region of the strike. There were also strikes made on american born members of AL-Qaeda, which created a law suite backed up by the 5th amendment and the 4th amendment, along with the prohibition on extrajudicial death warrants. Proving that there have been few attempts by our administration and congress to ensure the protection of our constitutional rights.

In January of 2013 Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said that, armed unmanned drones will be a feature of U.S. counter terrorism effort abroad for years to come along with possible home defense. The issue I see with that statement is that in the Congressional report from January 2013 we do not see any preparation for the legal rules of the use of drones whether it be privacy rights or consumer rights. This is where Rand Paul filibuster comes back into the picture, Senator Paul, is reminding the president and other elected officials that we need to be aware of the problems that drones will be creating and what rights we have as Americans citizens.

I do believe that God has blessed us with incredible means of technology. I also believe that America need to stay current with technology and protocol, but to do so we need President Obama and our elected officials to deal with issues of privacy, safety, and law.

Maybe We Need Some Reaganomics..?

Reaganomics:
1. Reduce Government spending
2.Reduce income tax and capital gains tax
3. Reduce Government regulation of economy
4. Control money supply to reduce inflation

At my age, to many Americans tax is just a word, much like economy and economic is just a word. Many at my age don't even do their own taxes, or even pay attention to where the future of our economy is headed. They are still depending on their parents or their parents accountants to do it all for them. Thanks to my mom, Who had me do my own taxes, I began to do a little searching. A little search to try and find out what all this talk about taxes and economics is all about and what I should be wanting to see from my representative in Congress, Senate and Mr President while their in Washington. Well here is a little overview for those who have no clue as to what basic economics and taxes mean for our future as American citizens.

Government Spending, for all of you people who are living under a rock or in your parents basement, government spending is a big issue and you should be concerned. Our national debt is at a raising 15 trillion! Which means your children and grandchildren won't even know what its like to feel debt free. In this up-coming election we need to vote for someone who is going to take charge and make a step in the right direction, and cut government spending where we need it, not where we need it most! This is Reaganomics number 1.

Taxes, lets just say that the current Internal Revenue Codes are a mess! (for those who don't know what IRC is there tax laws) As a American citizen we should be looking for tax cuts that will result in higher investment, lower unemployment and improve our economy as a whole. This is where Reaganomics 2 and 3 come into actions, Smaller Government would increase tax cuts. An effective tax reform such as that of one of flat tax could boost our nations wealth, by means of it increasing work, savings and investments. So start paying attention! What are the people you voted into office doing about cutting government spending? Are they supporting Obama's military cuts, and his wanting to raise taxes on the rich?!

Money supply...What money supply I ask?! Clearly we don't even have any money as Americans, if we repeatedly watch our government borrow from countries like China. Also let me inform if you haven't already heard a few months back we added Europe to the list along with the corporations that have been bailout by the US government! Now that the euro is collapsing where does that leave the US Federal Reserve?  We are printing money that has nothing to back it up! This leads to Reaganomics number 4. Ronald Reagan said himself  "Inflation is as violet as a mugger, as frightening as an armed robber and as deadly as a hit man."
