Weekly Top 5 briefing.

What a crazy mess the news and our current government is in. I Picked the top 5 stories I found to be important. I mean its hard not to laugh about some of them. 

Below meet Jeff Zients, Director of Office of Management and Budget. In this video you will find that Mr Direct is unable to answer the questions regarding the new budget increases that in the next ten years add 8.2 trillion to the deficit. 

In all actually like stated in the video there is no deficit reduction. 

Our next video is Rep. jackson (D-Ga) on the House Floor talking about Americans right to defend helium in spit of the sequester spending cuts.

If you haven't already heard, This Georgia congressman is being sarcastic. The point of this speech wasn't to bash the bill, but to point out that congress has an issue with prioritizing.

......but then again lets not forget this is the same congressman that thought gaum was going to tip over. 

Alright so know that we got a good laugh, the video clip below is a interview talking about the AP phone scandal. 

Unconstitutional? 

Emergency responders and local people in Oklahoma have been working day and night this past week tending to those whose lives have been torn apart by Mondays tornadoes. A few individuals in Washington have took over the situation by taking this as a opportunity to place blame on Republican lawmakers. Next is a video of Senator Sheldon- Dem, placing blame with his Monday speech, saying that Republican are anti-science. 

Well, Senator Sheldon, You may think that we Conservatives and Republican bringing America down, but I am confident that our current democratic Administration is taking care of that just fine. 

And my number five video below shows how evil our world is, and how Godless we have become not just in America but throughout the whole world.

Delays for American Travelers

Thanks to the new budget cuts travelers will be seeing delays at the airport. This budget cut imposed by the federal Aviation Administration, under the budget cuts approved by President Obama and Congress on Wednesday. 

It even seems that the FAA are proud that they are making this cut:

 “the FAA management has stated in meetings that they need to make the furloughs as hard as possible for the public so that they understand how serious it is.” 

Wow! What a statement! The map of flights  doesn't look back right now but its been less then a day. Can't wait to see the map in a few days.

President Obama's Budget Irrelevant

President Obama released his budget on April 10th, 2013, two months past the due date. The House and Senate have already passed their own budgets, and the next step is for the two sides to come together and work on a budget that both sides can pass. At this stage of the budget game, why even create one Mr. President. It's irrelevant!

IPAB

When contemplating the past 2012 elections, in response to the republican budget cuts, Obama stated that Medicare cost will be controlled under the independent payment advisory board (IPAB) which was established under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. This board is criticized by health care providers nationwide for its lack of authority and flexibility.  IPAB is a 15 UN ELECTED member board that is in charge of cutting cost with using a spending target system.

April 30, 2013 will be the start of a yearly prediction based on whether Medicare’s per-capita spending growth rate in the following years will exceed a target rate. They will base the target rate by a projected 5-year average. If future Medicare spending is expected to exceed the targets, the IPAB will have recommendations to put forth in front of congress and the president to reduce the growth rate. January 15 2014 will be the first set of recommendations. If congress fails to pass legislation by august 15th to produce savings, the IPAB recommendation will automatically will go into effect.

IPAB has to reduce Medicare cost without reducing benefits, increasing premiums, or making reimbursement cuts to hospital or nursing homes. Where then are the cuts going to come from, Physician reimbursement? Unfortunately with reimbursement being cut even more than it already is that will lead to fewer physician accepting Medicare patients, thus decreasing access to health care which we, referring to health care workings are already seeing with Medicare and Medicaid. Only one in three physician in 2012 accepted Medicaid and Medicare because of their low reimbursement rate. IPAB will go against what liberal said with wanting patients to have the ability to access quality health care.

The IPAB is by law unable to propose real structural reform. We are looking at a law that will only be making cuts to physicians by cutting there reimbursements, including administrative cost. This flawed micromanagement, that we will see in Medicare, will once again be damaging  access of care and ineffective at controlling cost.

We  are looking at some serious problems when it comes to health care for seniors.  We are looking at more Medicare cost shifting on the individuals and families, additional cuts will increase the percentage of physician declining Medicare and increase emergency room overflow.  Excuse me, but what kind of reform is this? I stand with American Medical Association in the elimination of the IPAB. I believe reform is necessary to lower the nation’s debt, but I do not believe that cutting reimbursement for work done by physicians, health care workers and peoples lives  is the correct way to decrease the debt ceiling. I believe we need to look at Medicaid reform, government handouts, and creating jobs. I do not believe in taking the rights away from seniors who have been an asset to our society is the correct punishment our health care system needs.

Welfare Reform Clinton and Obama

In 1996 congressional republicans and president Bill Clinton altered welfare for the better. The largest cash welfare program, Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) was altered by having work requirements added to the program, changing the program name Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). In the next five years of this reform, welfare decreased by 50 percent and child poverty dropped.  Clinton proudly declared that the reform would “end welfare as we know it”.  Millions of families have been able to move off of TANF because they were given the opportunity to work and support themselves with the programs work requirements and work training offered.

This past July 2012, Americans watched as Obama’s administration came out with a change to the successful welfare reform law of 1996. The Obama’s administration allows the states to waive the TANF work requirements, taking out the very element that made this reform so successful. In the establishing of the welfare reform, congress intended the work requirements to be mandatory, meaning non-waivable.  The Obama administration is illegally claiming authority to waive the TANF requirements by using section 1115 waiver under one of the social security acts, but I bet you didn't know that in order to use the section 1115 waiver, that what you want to be able to waiver must be listed in section 1115. As to our knowledge TANF is not listen in section 1115, making it illegal.

AFDC, was a one way handout. Government mailed checks to welfare dependents with no expectation of receiving anything back.  Under TANF, taxpayers continued to provide aid, but the dependents were required by law to engage in work, or efforts to put themselves into the work force, by obtaining their GED, seeking vocational training, or by attending college. 

With Obama’s administration pulling the work requirements out of the TANF, it leads to more government dependency. What expectation do we have for those on welfare with no work requirements, but the expectation that they will be back for more government aid through means of government checks and food stamps.

A few days later in July 2012, Representatives Jim Jordan, David Camp, and John Kline introduced H.R 6140, The Preserving Work Requirements for Welfare Program Acts. This legislation would prohibit Obama’s administration, from removing the work requirements that made the 1996 welfare reform so successful.

As Americans we need to be active in this movement, every tax payer is paying into government aid. Let us better help out fellow Americans by expecting welfare dependents to give back. In return it helps encouraging economic growth as they begin to provide and get themselves off of the welfare system. Government aid is to help them get back on their feet and it is not intended for people to live off of for a long period of time.

Maybe We Need Some Reaganomics..?

Reaganomics:

1. Reduce Government spending

2.Reduce income tax and capital gains tax

3. Reduce Government regulation of economy

4. Control money supply to reduce inflation

At my age, to many Americans tax is just a word, much like economy and economic is just a word. Many at my age don't even do their own taxes, or even pay attention to where the future of our economy is headed. They are still depending on their parents or their parents accountants to do it all for them. Thanks to my mom, Who had me do my own taxes, I began to do a little searching. A little search to try and find out what all this talk about taxes and economics is all about and what I should be wanting to see from my representative in Congress, Senate and Mr President while their in Washington. Well here is a little overview for those who have no clue as to what basic economics and taxes mean for our future as American citizens.

Government Spending, for all of you people who are living under a rock or in your parents basement, government spending is a big issue and you should be concerned. Our national debt is at a raising 15 trillion! Which means your children and grandchildren won't even know what its like to feel debt free. In this up-coming election we need to vote for someone who is going to take charge and make a step in the right direction, and cut government spending where we need it, not where we need it most! This is Reaganomics number 1. 

Taxes, lets just say that the current Internal Revenue Codes are a mess! (for those who don't know what IRC is there tax laws) As a American citizen we should be looking for tax cuts that will result in higher investment, lower unemployment and improve our economy as a whole. This is where Reaganomics 2 and 3 come into actions, Smaller Government would increase tax cuts. An effective tax reform such as that of one of flat tax could boost our nations wealth, by means of it increasing work, savings and investments. So start paying attention! What are the people you voted into office doing about cutting government spending? Are they supporting Obama's military cuts, and his wanting to raise taxes on the rich?!

Money supply...What money supply I ask?! Clearly we don't even have any money as Americans, if we repeatedly watch our government borrow from countries like China. Also let me inform if you haven't already heard a few months back we added Europe to the list along with the corporations that have been bailout by the US government! Now that the euro is collapsing where does that leave the US Federal Reserve?  We are printing money that has nothing to back it up! This leads to Reaganomics number 4. Ronald Reagan said himself  "Inflation is as violet as a mugger, as frightening as an armed robber and as deadly as a hit man."
